Google takes advantage of phishing
After some cases of hackers creating sites identical to the pages of the world's largest search group to spread viruses and advertisements, Websense (USA) has just warned about an online scam involving Google.
Victims will receive e-mail directing them to a site with a similar interface to Google's homepage. Here, they were told they were lucky to win $ 400 and asked to enter the credit card number, payment address .
Websense EMEA production director Ross Paul said: "It is unthinkable that people still believe they are in a bad mood when they receive a certain amount of money. Fraudsters often only get lucky a few times, but Google's name makes this phishing seem more "real" because people still know the company has a very high turnover. "
The fake website with a server is located in the US and Websense said it has not yet estimated the number of people trapped.
