Greece: earthquake earthquake!
A magnitude 5.1 earthquake struck Kefalonia in western Greece at 16:20 (US time) yesterday afternoon. The epicenter of the seabed is 298km from Athens. While the earthquake occurred in the seabed (no reports of losses), fire still flares on the island of Kefalonia.

According to the Greek Fire Office, 'more than half of the country was submerged in the sea of fire'. European Union, Russia, Cyprus . plans to bring firefighters to support. The loss of life in this devastating forest fire is quite heavy: at least 62 people died. Fire has yet to show signs of diminishing. Particularly on August 26, it is estimated that there are 63 new fire points.
Greece mobilized a powerful force of firefighters, police, volunteers and helicopters to protect the relics of Olympia stadium, which lit the Olympic flame about 2,800 years ago. The cultural minister himself came to Olympia to supervise.
Greece also won a prize worth $ 1.35 million to help the government catch those behind the fires. Seven suspects have been arrested.
