Greece was shaken by an earthquake of 6.2 on the Richter scale
Greek authorities said a April 6.2-magnitude undersea earthquake rocked the southeastern Aegean Sea.
The earthquake occurred at 16:29 local time (1:29 GMT) near the island of Karpathos on the Aegean Sea. Mindful about 360 km southeast of the capital Aten and 20 km west of Karpathos Island.
The government on the neighboring island of Karpathos and neighboring Rhodes and Crete islands, which also felt strong tremors, said they had not received information about casualties or damage after the earthquake.
Greece accounted for 50% of earthquakes in the European continent.
