Hats support thinking

The creation of a type of hat that enhances human cognitive ability can become a reality after a study shows that electromagnetic pulses increase brain activity.

Scientists from the University of British Columbia (Canada) investigate the impact of electromagnetic waves on brain learning and memory activities with 30 people. They asked volunteers to track a target on the computer screen with the joystick button. The goal is marked with a red dot.

Initially the target moves randomly, then it follows the pre-programmed trajectory and eventually returns to the free movement. All volunteers do not grasp that movement rule. They argue that the goal moves freely throughout the experiment.

During the second test, the team attached magnets to the heads of some volunteers while the rest were not attached to anything. The results showed that those with magnetism realized that orbiting targets were programmed in one stage .

" Tests demonstrate that electromagnetic waves can increase the ability of the nervous system to work. This finding may lead to the creation of hats that support cognitive activity. With that tool we can help "We are studying that possibility in the lab ," said Dr. Lara Boyd, the lead researcher.
