Heart surgery at age 106

A 106-year-old British grandfather has just become one of the rarest people in the world undergoing artificial pacemaker surgery, a proof that age is not a barrier with surgery and medical therapy.

That is his name Leslie Dunn has 2 great-grandchildren living in Essex Colchester, England. A few days ago, when I was making coffee for my friends, he had a stroke and was quickly admitted to the hospital. While being treated at Colchester General Hospital, doctors found his heart beating more slowly than usual.

The hospital's group of cardiologists then decided to perform an hour-long operation to implant the pacemaker (pacemaker) for the device on May 5.8.

Dr. Allan Harkness, who led the surgery, said there are very few older people Dunn who have had surgery like this.

'Dunn's heart surgery proves that even elderly patients can maintain their health well and age is not a barrier to surgeries,' he said. Doctor affirmed.

Mr. Dunn now lives alone in Colchester in a two-story apartment. The only medicine he is taking is a prostate gland pill every day.

Colchester General Hospital said that this grandfather born in 1905 will fully recover and be discharged from hospital within the next week.

'It's great that people still appreciate the life God gives, regardless of how old you are,' according to News.sky.

The oldest person ever installed an artificial pacemaker in the world was Scottish Mr. John Evans, a pacemaker when 108 years old in 1986.
