In the past 3 years, Pakistan has always suffered floods. The natural disaster of 2010 has killed nearly 1,800 people and affected the lives of 21 million people.
On February 5, a landslide occurred in a village in the mountainous province of Badakhshan, 315km northeast of Afghanistan's capital Kabul, injuring 20 people. Provincial government spokesman Abdul Marouf Rasikh said the landslide occurred at 2 pm (local time), destroying about 20 houses.
Earlier, there was also an earthquake in the area, destroying some houses and causing casualties.
Meanwhile, snowfall in Himachal Pradesh state in northern India on February 5 caused at least 7 people to die and many people were trapped.
Much of the state's snowfall caused power outages and hindered the search and rescue of the victims and paralyzed all activities in the area, forcing the local government to alert. However, the electrical system was later restored.
