If you have continuous hiccups accompanied by symptoms of dysphagia and weight loss, think about esophageal cancer immediately.

That is the advice of Professor T. Walsh of a hospital in Ireland. He said more and more cancer patients have continuous hiccups.

Typically, esophageal cancer patients go to the hospital quite late: 3 months after the first symptoms and this significantly reduces the effectiveness of treatment.

This is a dangerous disease that takes more lives than traffic accidents if statistics in Ireland. Smoking and drinking alcohol can increase the risk of esophageal cancer.
