How did the Soviet Union create its own super dog?

After World War 2, Soviet Red Army sought to create a special "super dog" breed. After combining 17 different varieties, they got what they wanted: Russian black terriers.

There are the best qualities possible: the agility and the keen guarding instinct of the Gaint Schnauzers, the perseverance and certainty of Airdales and the enormous bravery and formality of the Rottwiler. In addition to the above major varieties, some other breeds also participated in the creation of Soviet 'super dogs' such as Newfoundlands, and Moscow State dogs (now extinct).
