The images shared on social networks about recipes for beef making many people uneasy, shuddering when thinking about daily food.
On December 4, on a social network, an account named PN shared 4 clips recording the technology of "turning" pork meat into beef according to the formula: pork pork + buffalo fat, cow + buffalo bull , cow = beef.
In the clip, a person uses a small knife to slice frozen pork, then use a dark red solution in a plastic bag to put in a smooth squeeze. Immediately, the white pork pieces turn to the characteristic crimson color of beef.
This information received the attention of many people with nearly 60,000 shares, 10,000 comments.

Dr. Nguyen Hung Long - Deputy Director of Food Safety Department (Ministry of Health) - affirmed that fake pork is a commercial fraud. Regarding the dangers of this job, Mr. Long said that basically does not affect health but it is necessary to strictly handle violations.
According to Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Thinh, staff of the Institute of Biotechnology - Food Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, how to fake pork with pork meat is completely real. Pork meat is usually reared for a long time, with a coarse grain, with a dark color while processing longer than regular pork. The selling price of pork meat is cheaper than beef, so small traders have taken advantage of this to get higher profits many times.
"Buffalo or cow fat has a quite similar and characteristic smell, so it is used to put on pork to make sure that it will taste like beef. And buffalo and cow will help them create color," said Prof. Thinh.

"If all types of meat are clean and the above formula is implemented properly, it will not affect health. Because of fat and buffalo and cow secretions, it is all edible , " Associate Professor Thinh said.
However, they will be harmful when the source of the meat is unknown, rancid, infected or minor use chemicals to fake the beef.
Experts recommend that all frauds should be handled strictly, so that people are not deceived. In this case, consumers should not be too bewildered and need to calm down, distinguish the fake when buying.
