A US Government report revealed that every year 40,000 people diagnosed with cancer related to human papilloma virus (HPV) and 80% can prevent it with HPV vaccine.

HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), many people believe that HPV vaccines work only to prevent sexually transmitted infections but are actually effective in preventing cancer. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection and the vaccine can prevent cancer of the throat, mouth, cervix, penis or anus.

Scientists stress that about 99% of cervical cancer diagnoses are related to HPV infection. Usually, the cancer does not develop until after the patient has been infected with HPV.
