Taiwan's mobile phone manufacturer HTC yesterday (June 5) officially launched a smartphone product that has the same features as Apple's upcoming iPhone.

This new Touch smartphone product is considered a strategic card in HTC's top-notch sales target. Previously HTC was only a manufacturer of mobile devices and sold them to other companies. This time HTC expects Touch to contribute to its brand name as well as to boost sales.

It is expected that HTC Touch will officially launch users this weekend through the main distribution channel is Europe's mobile network service provider Orange. The product will debut in Asia later this month and the American market early next year.
