Rob Sharrock (living in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia) has used the Nikon D300 to ' snatch ' the image of a giant and quite bizarre cloud floating in the sky to an unknown place. This roll of clouds is another type of cloud - looking at it like a giant horizontal chimney covering the sky. The cloud form usually appears before a big storm is about to occur.
Before each storm, often high humidity air causes cool below the dew point and forms a cloud. But scrolling clouds like this rarely appear.
Mr. Rob Sharrock said: ' Surprisingly, I can't believe my luck when I can grab such wonderful images right in front of my house. When it happened, I looked up at the sky and exclaimed: Oh hell, is the earth coming to the end of the world? It seems that the giant scroll cloud has to drift a few miles, what an incredible image!
