Hundreds of poisonous spiders invaded the British Navy base

It was an incident at the storage facility at the Royal Navy RNAS Culdrose base in Cornwall (England).

The base of RNAS Culdrose was attacked, but when it was discovered that the staff called the environmental health officer.

That's because the base has been invaded by hundreds of unique species of British spiders.

Each spider is about the size of a 50 pence coin. Although they are not aggressive and often eat flies, they do not hesitate to bite you if irritated.

Therefore, officers in the base must wear rubber gloves to avoid being poisoned by spider mites. So far no reports have shown that an officer has been bitten by a spider.

Lt. Col. Richard Blackwell said: 'We found many spider webs in the area around here. There are hundreds of spiders, they especially like crawling on the roof - a fairly warm position.

We are working with a pest control station to learn how to deal with them. Spiders may be treated with a vacuum cleaner, heat treatment or spraying '.

A spokesman for the navy said the warehouse area - where spiders are still open - was trying to chase out uninvited guests.
