IBM introduced self-troubleshooting software
As part of its " self-recovery " technology effort, IBM has just released a new data center software that can automatically detect and fix performance errors.
The new data center software was announced by IBM on December 1, by the Tivoli unit of the research and development group.
One of the new software is called IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.1, which is an upgrade version for additional servers when other critical systems such as mail servers or online payment systems become overloaded.
Meanwhile, IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager software is also capable of searching and repairing network bottlenecks. This program focuses primarily on solving the problems of critical systems, which connect many different applications over the Internet.
Finally, the Tivoli Systems Automation for Multiplatforms software is also a type of troubleshooting problem such as power outages or other problems without losing storage data.
Tivoli Monitoring 6.1 is sold at a starting price of $ 700 (for each processor); Composite Application Manager costs $ 5,000; and the System Administration for Multiplatforms cost $ 1,100.
According to IBM's announcement, the company has integrated more than 475 " self-help " features into 75 different product lines since the initiative was proposed and implemented since 2001.
