Identify the oldest piece of the Great Wall
Chinese authorities are beginning to plan to preserve the oldest wall of the Great Wall after archaeologists determine its location and length.
Accordingly, this long section of the city was 620 km long, running from Jinan City, the capital of Shandong Province (east of China) to Qingdao City in the same province. Archaeologists believe it was built around 770-467 BC, belonging to the Qi Dynasty. They called it the school day into the Qi period.
According to archaeological team leader Li Zhenguang, the identification of the school building into the Qi period will provide the basis for conducting conservation restoration - currently being destroyed by local people.
According to Mr. Li, in the future scientists will establish a statistical system of the exact length and location of the entire city so that local authorities can assess the extent of the damage. This program is part of a long-term plan of the Chinese Heritage Department to better preserve the Great Wall.
