Independent Wi-Fi network access kit for cars
Autonet Mobile's Wireless Hotspot works as a separate network provider, leaving users without the EV-DO or HSDPA cards. They can freely surf the web when going anywhere "driving the box " or step out of the car within 3m.
This Autonet router is about the size of a laptop, taking energy from the output of the power supply right on the car (the part can be used to charge batteries or light cigarettes). The device itself is a bridge to the mobile carrier's 3G network, acting as a Wi-Fi port for connections to it.

" TRU technology allows us to connect to many users in the same session, " said Sterling Pratz, President of Autonet Mobile. " Everyone has VPNs they want, but they don't need IT experts to install them anymore ."
Autonet costs $ 339, access fee through this device is estimated at 49 USD / month (US service). The company plans to introduce the product at the January 2007 CES Consumer Exhibition and launch it this fall.
