Indonesia, Georgia, Italy ... shook by the earthquake

A 6.1-magnitude quake struck Indonesia after midnight, while a 6.2-magnitude strong earthquake hit Georgia early. Seismologists also recorded earthquakes in Italy, Albania and Macedonia.

The 6.1-magnitude earthquake occurred at 2:12 am (local time), below 15 km, in the southern region of the main island of Java, Indonesia.

No tsunami warnings were issued and there were no reports of damage and casualties yet. Earthquakes often occur in Indonesia, the country in the Pacific Fire Circle.

Just last week at least 100 people were killed in a 7-magnitude quake that shook Java. More than 88,000 people have lost their homes. A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck northeastern Albania on Sunday night destroyed hundreds of houses in Albnia and Macedonia . Albanian seismic institute said the earthquake occurred at 23h49 (local time) with the epicenter in Bulqiza district, 63km northeast of Tirana and near the border with Macedonia.

The Prime Minister of Albania immediately visited the affected area, while rescue agencies set up two helicopters to transport tents, food for hundreds of people affected by the earthquake. In the epicenter, 166 houses were badly damaged, hundreds of other houses were slightly damaged.
