Anil Nanduri, director of Intel's perception solutions division, said earlier this technology would be available on removable webcams, such as Creative's Senz3D webcam that will be available later this quarter. They will then take this technology to more popular platforms such as tablets and smartphones.

Intel says the camera can track the user's eyes and know if the person is having difficulty reading, such as children may encounter difficult words that they do not understand while reading.

In addition, with the ability to sense the depth of objects, the camera can also identify the elements of the object including the shape and the border. From there, you will know the distance, size, color and many other elements of various objects that will be useful in the field of scanning and 3D printing.
