ISPs agree to cooperate to improve Internet quality
Yesterday 21/11/2007 in Hanoi, ISPs including Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group VNPT, Viettel, EVN Telecom, SPT and NetNam held seminars and signed cooperation, improving Internet quality.
The Department of Telecommunications - Ministry of Information and Communications presented the Draft Decree on new Internet management, replacing Decree 55, in order to get comments from ISPs and public opinion before officially issuing it.
The new decree promotes the development of the Internet market through simplifying administrative procedures. Directly, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Le Nam Thang and Deputy Director of Telecommunications Department Le Thi Ngoc Mo participated in discussions and exchanged opinions with delegates around the new decree.
ISPs signed up to improve the quality of Internet services in the presence of the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
If Decree 55 only allows state-owned enterprises or dominant state-owned enterprises to provide Internet connection services, the new draft will allow all economic sectors to participate in the supply. service level.
With the draft, Internet-licensed enterprises (ISPs) will be provided with Internet access services, Internet connection services and Internet application services, instead of having to have all 3 licenses of each type of service as before. In the coming time, the draft will be publicized on the website of the Ministry of Information and Communications for people's opinions.

The objective of the Association is to cooperate in improving the quality of Internet services in Vietnam, creating an environment, promoting Internet business activities and value-added services .
At the same time, in the series of events celebrating 10 years of Vietnam Internet, on November 29, ISPs will hold the 10th anniversary of Vietnam Internet, honoring Internet achievements brought to the community. VN.
