The H-IIA missile, produced by the Japanese Space Exploration Agency (JAXA), is expected to bring a South Korean satellite into space, AFP quotes a JAXA official on May 16.
KOMPSAT-3 , the name of the Korean satellite, has a mission to survey the globe, according to AFP.
Reportedly, the launch will be controlled by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
"We hope this commercial launch will increase customer confidence for us. Thereby, we will have more contracts for this satellite launch service, which is Europe's field. and Russia dominates , 'Mitsubishi spokesman Kenichi Nakamura said.
As scheduled, the launch will take place at 1:39 (Japanese time) at JAXA's Tanegashima Space Center on Tanegashima island, western Japan.
