Expert Tilo Nadler, Chief Representative of Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS-Germany) reported to FZS and brought the filming crew of the German National Television to Hon Heo. In May 2007, with the expert of FZS, Forest Inventory and Planning Institute (FIPI) - Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Khanh Hoa Forest Protection Department preliminarily surveyed Hon Heo, recorded about 115 individuals of black-shanked douc langur . FIPI and FZS have sent reports and petitions to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to facilitate the sending of scientific staff into Hon Heo survey and research (graduate level project: 'Study on the behavior and ecology of ruby ​​species black foot patch '), as a basis for conservation work.

FZS has mobilized many international individuals and organizations to sponsor the survey. However, nearly 2 years have passed, Khanh Hoa has not responded yet.
