Successful rescue of a gray-shanked douc langur
On the morning of July 11, the National Primate Rescue Center (Cuc Phuong National Park) received and successfully rescued a gray-shanked douc langur (Pygathrix cinerea) by the people of An Dung commune (An district). Lao - Binh Dinh) transferred.
In recent years, in the mountainous district of An Lao of Binh Dinh province, there have been some rare and precious langurs. However, this is the most healthy langur that Binh Dinh people have caught and transferred to the center.
This gray-shanked douc weighs 12 kilograms, male, caught by some children, taken home. Some local people came to see and know that this is a rare animal, included in the Vietnam and international Red Book, so it voluntarily transferred to the authorities.
