Kingfisher bird drags snake neck out of brick wall

Kingfisher pulls snake out of hiding place, struggles with prey and wins after about 30 minutes.

Rhys Scott recorded the struggle between kookaburra kingfisher and snake in the outskirts of Robertson, south of Brisbane, Australia, on September 18, Viral Hog reported. Scott caught an interesting scene while working on Romulus Street.

The sighted snake kingfisher poking its head out from a drainage hole on the brick wall. He quickly rushed down to catch the prey. Hunters try to use mines to pull snakes out of hiding places.

The snake tried to struggle to escape, sometimes rolling around the bird. After the 30-minute battle, kingfishers win. It carries prey to find the place to beat the cup.

Kookaburra is Australia's native kingfisher. This animal has a characteristic cry that sounds almost like laughter. They are carnivorous birds with predominant prey including mice, snakes, insects, small reptiles, young birds and fish.
