Korea is racing against time to be able to bring the networked robots into use in all households in the country.
After succeeding in bringing broadband internet to 72% of households across the country in the last 5 years, the government has assembled a team of 100 scientists from universities and research institutes. as well as the business owner of more than 30 companies to help bring the robot to become an official member of society.
Next year, these smart robots - can send messages to parents, teach children English, sing dance to entertain children - will be mass produced. And yet, the robots can also guide customers at the post office or patrol in public areas by searching for intruders and sending photos to control centers. Ministry of Information Technology of kimchi predicts that robots will appear in all households in this country in 2015-2020.
