Lac Hong University won Robocon 2011

The LH-B7 team from Lac Hong University will represent Vietnam to attend the Asia-Pacific Robot Innovation Contest held in Thailand next September.

At exactly 20pm on May 15, at the Tien Son Sports Culture Palace, Da Nang City, 8 teams participated in the 2011 Robocon Finals, including 5 teams of Lac Hong University: LH-B7, LH-CACTUS 1, LH -AIO, LH - CACTUS 2, LH-WAVE and 3 NKIT-FIBER teams of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology; ALLIGATOR of Hanoi University of Industry; School of officers commanding technical information.

The theme of this year's competition is 'Loy Krathong - friendship lighting up faith ', taking the idea based on Loy Krathong - a traditional Thai ceremony to show respect for the water goddess. .

Each participating team has a maximum of 3 robots. In the order of the required section, the manual robot must lift 3 candles in the common area, then place the lamp placed at the decoration point on the Sala area and continue to take candles from the common area.

The Automatic Robots will take the Krathong Petals and Flowers and place them at the preparation positions and arrange the Petals and Krathong Flowers on the lamp rack in the Sala. Manual Robot continues to place 3 candles on Krathong, the Automatic Robot will bring the Krathong to the surface of the river. Finally, the Automatic Robot will bring the light flame gently placed on top of the lamp in the Krathong floating on the river surface.

The first team to successfully set up the fire lamp will be the winner, called ' Loy Krathong' . If no team achieves 'Loy Krathong' , within 3 minutes, the team that gets the higher score will win.

According to the results of the draw, the match between LH-B7 and the opening match for the quarterfinals on the last night of competition. Starting this round, the LH-B7 embodies the exact and speedy approach, does not win the absolute victory (only 212 points), but enough for the team to continue the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, LH-B7 defeated their brother LH - CACTUS 1 to reach the finals, and crowned the champion. LH-B7 won an absolute victory (300 points) at 90 seconds.

Although there are rounds in the quarterfinals and semi-finals with absolute scores (300 points), solid competition and more stable, but less fortunate robots, the team of Hanoi University of Industry, the representative team only in the north participating Robocon only won second prize. In order to reach the final, ALLIGATOR with a fast speed of competition won the absolute victory score (300 points) in SQ PLV quarterfinals of the School of Information Technology Commanders - the team was judged to have steel will, The spirit of competition is full of discipline. and won the semifinal match against LH CACTUS team 2 - the team was rated as the brightest candidate for the Robocon championship this year.

Two equally excellent teams and one of the heavyweight candidates of the championship this year are Lac Hong University's LH CACTUS 1 and LH CACTUS 2, who have won in all rounds but with limited in terms of the negative and unstable speed of the robots, causing the two teams to miss the opportunity at the most important moment and the third prize.

The prize for the champion this year is 40 million VND, 1 chance to attend the 2011 International Robocon contest in Thailand, 1,000 USD of Asia and Pacific Broadcasting Association - ABU , 10 million VND of Toyota sponsor and a tour of Australia sponsored by the Australian Embassy.

The second prize team received 25 million VND, the third prize was 15 million VND. In addition, the organizers also awarded prizes for the best solution, technology award, idea award, good hand robots, The best autonomous robot, the style prize with each prize is 10 million VND.

Robocon 2011 has closed with good and attractive voices, despite the absence of some names such as Hanoi University of Technology, Military Technical Academy.
