Robocon 2011 will be an explosive playground

With the participation of many new recruits among 32 excellent teams participating in the final round, the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest in 2011 promises to be an explosive playground.

The final round of Vietnam Robots Innovation Contest (Vietnam Robocon 2011) will take place in Da Nang city from May 9 to May 15, 2011. The 32 best teams have surpassed 245 teams from 56 universities, colleges, and professional high schools across the country to compete to select the Vietnam Robocon champion. The champion team will represent Vietnam to participate in the Asia-Pacific Robot Innovation Contest in September 2011 in Bangkok, Thailand.

2011 is also the year that the number of professional colleges and intermediate schools is the largest, not yet complete, this is also the year that the Robocon competition continues to be "seasoned" with "rookies" . Therefore, Robocon 2011 will be an explosive playground between one side with teams with tradition, experience, strength and on the one side are excited rookies.

Theme of Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest 2011 is Loy Krathong - Friendship lighting joy. The theme is based on the idea of ​​Loy Krathong ritual, traditional Thai ritual, to show respect for the river goddess. Each team consists of 4 members (including one instructor), can use up to 3 robots (2 automatic, 1 by hand) to perform the task: Linking Krathong flower and dropping onto the river surface in 3 minute.

Each Krathong consists of a lamp rack, calyx, flower, 3 candles, then released on the river. The team that lit the fire on the Krathong floating on the river surface will first win the absolute victory called Loy Krathoong.

Robocon is a creative playground for children, bold in teamwork and facilitates the accumulation of life skills, competitions that are very practical and useful for social life. From these contests were present as speech and writing recognition robots, spider robots; fuel-efficient vehicle; self-propelled two-wheeled vehicles; Cross-robots and flower robots .
