Left handed contains many more dangerous diseases

According to scientific studies, left-handed people face a high risk of schizophrenia, breast cancer, difficulty reading and often feel anxious.

In a study published in the SAGE Open, researchers at Utrecht Medical University (Netherlands) said that when studying left-handed mental patients, scientists discovered a surprise. The number of left-handed people with schizophrenia is much higher than the rate of left-handed people suffering from depression and bipolar disorder.

Researchers conducted a survey in a mental hospital of a city with a low average per capita income. The results from the survey will cause many left-handed people to worry.

Among patients with emotional disorders, left-handed people account for 11%, which is equivalent to the proportion of left-handed people worldwide. Meanwhile, in those diagnosed with schizophrenia, the rate of left-handed people is nearly four times higher, up to 40%. This shows that, in mental illness, left-handed people are more prone to schizophrenia.

Scientists also found that white people had a higher rate of mental illness than people of color.

Earlier, Dutch researchers have also found that left-handed women are twice as likely to have pre-menopausal breast cancer than right-handed women. The researchers believe that the cause of this condition is that the sex hormone in the uterus is too high.

A previous study also found that left-handed people are more likely to have difficulty reading and are often more anxious than right-handed people.
