Lenovo secretly released the T61p super product running Linux
Lenovo on Thursday unveiled the ThinkPad T61p, a high-end notebook (MTXT), which uses the desktop version of the Linux operating system.
It is expected that by the end of this month the product will be officially available in the market.
Similar to previous launches, the ThinkPad T61p is also compatible with Novell SLED OS 10. Lenovo also said that the T61p has also been fully certified to run Red Hat and Turbolinux.
The ThinkPad T61p uses the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor chips like the T7700, T7500 and T7300 with clock speeds ranging from 2.0GHz to 2.4GHz, and 4MB of L2 and FSB 800MHz cache memory. The T61p is equipped with up to 4GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, 3 USB 2.0 ports, CD-RW DVD optical drive, NVIDIA Quadro FX 570M high-end graphics chip .
In terms of connectivity, T62p is equipped with a variety of wireless connectivity technologies such as 802.11n WLAN, embedded WWAN and ultra-wide bandwidth wireless UWB technology.
The ThinkPad T61p has a reference price of $ 1,814.
