AAP recommends that children under 2 years of age not watch television.

Children who watch TV more than 2 hours a day often live in apartments with an average of 4 televisions.

Almost two-thirds of families put televisions in their children's rooms, and half of them set up TVs in kitchens and dining rooms.

Many parents conceive of watching radio as a safe behavior, a form of fun entertainment for their children. Others do not know what their children will do, what to replace for television, especially when the weather is bad, children cannot run outside. Some other parents worry that if they do not watch TV during meals, they may argue over trifles.

Solution

- Avoid letting your children pay attention to devices that have monitors like televisions, computers and games.

- Do not leave the television in the nursery

- Never turn on the television as a habit

- Limit watching television in school days, going to work

- Do not leave the TV in the dining area

- Do not eat while watching television, even when eating light.

- Search for other activities in the home without the need for a wireless screen - such as playing, reading.

Some families may need a lot of time to adjust but this is necessary because it will significantly affect the development of the child as well as the close relationship between family members.
