A wildlife photographer has recorded an unusual sight of the South African steppe when his camera was "stolen" by a curious lion.
According to the Telegraph , 57-year-old photographer Roger de la Harpe was present in South Africa's Tswalu Kalahari Game reserve to take a picture of a book about the threatened African lion when he spotted three female lion on the road ahead.
Placing a small digital video camera on the ground, Mr. Harpe retreated at a safe distance. As planned, the lions will come near the camera. However, instead of passing, a curious female lion checked the device thoroughly, sniffed and licked the cover before using it to take it away like a booty.

After 30 years of working in South Africa's national parks, photographer Harpe was stunned by the action of the female lion. The amazing thing is, the camera lenses are still unimpeded in recording the view of the meadow from the mouth of the female lion. Even so, after 5 minutes, it seemed bored with what was found inedible, the lion dropped the camera on the road.
When the lions went away, Mr. Harpe crept back to get the camera. The veteran photographer recalls: " Finding a camera is risky. Lions are only 75 meters away and the grass is relatively thick, so it took me a long time to find my camera. I ".
The video camera worth over £ 300 was left in the lion's saliva but nothing was damaged. When watching the video, Mr. Harpe was surprised to see that the lion had obtained some beautiful angles to the prairies.
