When investigating the eating habits of Japanese people, the country's experts found that people who eat food often face up to 84% higher risk of obesity than those who eat slowly.

Do not consume food too quickly to avoid obesity

The reason is quite simple. It took nearly 30 minutes for the stomach to tell the brain that the food was full. During that time and with the speed of eating too fast, the subject easily absorbed an excessive amount of uneaten food, leading to an increase in calories beyond the control of the brain.

The human body produces hormones called ghrelin , an appetite stimulant that is produced when the stomach is hungry. And this hormone stops secreting when the stomach is full.

"Speaking disc" is designed to inform and persuade people to reduce the speed of meals to avoid consuming excess calories.

"Speaking disc" consists of 2 parts, the scale is located under the disk and small computer screen. Accordingly, the screen will show a red line showing the feeding speed, and the green line indicates the normal feeding speed for comparison.

If the difference increases gradually between the green and red lines, the device will give advice asking you to eat slowly.

The Daily Mirror newspaper said "the disk" will be tested by Bristol University (UK) for 600 families with an adult and a child who is obese.
