Microsoft cooperates with Baidu.com
On December 14, Microsoft said it was promoting a partnership with the Baidu search portal to enhance the influence of the world's largest software maker in China.
In fact, the "strategic alliance" relationship with Baidu began in early December when Microsoft displayed a portal ad for Baidu on MSN, Live and Microsoft websites in China.
" China is one of our most important markets, and with our cooperation with Baidu, we will have more opportunities to promote business in China, " said the general manager. Microsoft, Erik Johnson.
" Microsoft is committed to bringing online software and services, including search services, to Chinese Internet users, " said Erik Johnson.
Currently, the cooperation agreement with Baidu has not been announced in detail by Microsoft. It is known that this information search portal is considered as a Chinese version of Google, which is reaping success in this most populous country in the world.
" The combination of Baidu and Microsoft brings great potential and promises strong growth for China's online search market, " said Baidu CEO David Zhu.
