Microsoft launched a new server operating system
On August 2, Microsoft unveiled its first high-performance operating system - Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.
Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 is a product of the Microsoft Research project, founded in 2000, and is considered a weapon against Linux in the field of providing platforms for research and large systems.
Microsoft hopes the new server operating system will be used by companies to run high-performance programs. At the same time, Microsoft also said that Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 will help change the server operating system market that is occupied by Linux.
Of course, hopefully is still hopeful because experts predict, it is not easy that Microsoft can beat Linux in the server market. It has long been used to using Linux to maintain large systems because of its stability and security.
