Microsoft launched the official Live Search version

It is expected that today Microsoft will officially launch the Live Search Internet search engine version. In fact, Live Search is an upgraded version and has been renamed MSN Search.

Live Search is evaluated by analysts as a new step for Microsoft to compete with leading competitors in the field of Internet search services such as Yahoo or Google.

Latest statistics from Nielsen / Net Ratings said that Microsoft's Internet search engine is currently ranked third in popularity among users, behind Yahoo and Google.

Live Search is also part of a strategy to provide a variety of Live-branded Microsoft web-based application services. However, experts say users may be confused between Live Search and MSN Search.

" I don't think many users already know about Windows Live ," said Matt Rosoff, an independent researcher.

Microsoft has plans to apply Live Search to the MSN Portal website and enhance the promotion of this new search engine in the near future. Rosoff researcher said Microsoft will need to organize big promotional events to let users know what its Live service is and to convince them to switch to using its tools.

Among Live Search's most significant upgrade changes is that it has improved the way it handles search requests so that users can easily distinguish what they are looking for. Besides, image search method has also been upgraded and improved significantly.
