Chairing the meeting, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Bui Ba Bong emphasized that now, the agricultural sector has protected production of 1.1 million hectares of winter rice in the North, 70 in summer-autumn rice. % of the area is still in danger due to black streak disease or possibly due to weather events.

Deputy Minister Bui Ba Bong also noted that localities are now at the stage of disease prevention and are in the phase of disease exclusion, so the Plant Protection Department needs to coordinate closely with localities to monitor the field. good, ensure early detection of diseases to effectively eliminate diseases, avoid crop failure due to subjective causes of disease.

Mr. Tran Xuan Dinh, Deputy Director of Thai Binh Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the situation of pests and diseases on rice is very complicated. Recently, the province has provided all rice seeds to farmers on a total area of ​​about 83,000ha, organized spraying to prevent black stunt disease for the whole area of ​​rice, heavily infected places to be sprayed. up to 3 times. Up to the present time, the total provincial support budget has reached 4.6 billion VND, which is deducted from the local budget.
