Mysterious stone balls in Xinjiang are beyond human ability to craft: So where do they come from?

In the world to this day, there are still many areas that are unknown to mankind. At Bei Dap Mountain in Xinjiang, there were strange stone balls that caused headaches for experts.

Bei Dat Mountain is the border mountain between China and Mongolia. The mountain is about 80km long and 25-50km wide.

Strange object detected

In 1979, Xinjiang hydrogeologists came here to survey groundwater. While working in a valley to the east, they suddenly discovered that there were many round stones in the hillsides. These soccer balls were of different sizes, the small one as big as a ping-pong ball, the large one with one or two meters in diameter.

Most of these stones are round and have a smooth surface. What is even more amazing is that when viewed from a distance, the stone balls are arranged according to certain rules. Some scholars present suggested that these stones were brought here on purpose. However, when the investigation went deeper, this idea was denied.

Not stopping there, some of the stone spheres appear to have "hands" rising from the ground. Scientists have dug deep into the ground to discover the "hand" hidden deep underground and brought these rocks to the research institute.

To clarify the mystery of the stone balls on Bac Dat mountain , scientists have cut some spheres and discovered that their internal structure is very special. Inside these spheres, people find fossils of plants and ancient rocks.

Where did these stone balls come from?

Some experts believe that the formation of rock balls is related to the geological process of the Earth. Since ancient times, sandstone and clay existed in the form of a ball and began to harden. The movement of the crust and the weather causes the rock to crack. Rainwater picks up some chemicals and debris, gradually forming nodules.

After that, the nodule body gets bigger and bigger. Over the years, their outer layer gradually weathered and peeled off, creating the stone ball we see today.

Some scholars deduce this is the result of volcanic eruptions. Magma at high temperature forms crystals and then forms nodules. From there, they form stones of various sizes. However, this opinion was rejected. Because volcanic eruptions happen a lot on Earth, these spheres can't be found everywhere.

There is an opinion that the stone ball can be a gift from the "guests" in space and they want to communicate with humans through them. It is a coincidence that UFOs have been recorded in the Bac Da mountain area.

However, some scholars suggest that the phenomenon may be related to ancient nature worship or sacrifice. Since ancient times, it was believed that after death, souls are scattered and round things can collect these souls. Therefore, they devised a stone ball as a place to "seal" the human soul after death. However, these are just speculations.

At present, the above statements are still unfounded. In the days to come, scientists need to continue to research and verify.
