In early 2011, NaNo-Lipposome pharmaceuticals used to treat cancer will be marketed.

This is the result of a cooperation and technology transfer program between Affordable Quality Pharmaceuticals Company (AQP - based in California, USA) with Danapha Da Nang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.

In Vietnam, this technology is still quite new. Liposome nanoparticles (nano-sized spherical artificial particles are basically composed of natural phospholipid components and cholesterol) with dimensions measured in nanometers (1 nanometer - 1/1 billion meters) Becoming an important factor in the patient's medication loading.

In the human body, the cells of the blood vessels in healthy tissue are very tight. But in the blood vessels of the cancer, there are large gaps (about 400 nanometers). Common drug forms, free drug particles can pass through the walls of blood vessels and travel to tissues throughout the body to destroy cancer cells and healthy cells. Meanwhile, the drug is encapsulated in nanoparticles-liposomes with nano-sized measurements that can pass through gaps into the cancer without affecting the blood vessel walls.

As planned, in early 2011, Danapha will launch a series of high-quality pharmaceuticals in the form of Liposome, in which the backbone product of the project will be Liposomal Estoposide for cancer treatment. Other drugs such as Glipizome (diabetes treatment), Amlodisome (high blood pressure treatment), Lovastasome (cardiovascular treatment, high blood cholesterol level) are the second priorities and will also be produced immediately after the project. go into operation.
