NASA officially announced the concussion discovery of extraterrestrial life

At 0:00 on May 11, Vietnam time, the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) has published official information about their latest findings in the universe, obtained from the Kepler telescope.

Specifically, the Kepler space telescope has discovered a total of 1,284 new planets outside the Solar System. This number helps confirm the number of Kepler telescopes that have been found to have increased more than twice as much as before.

1,284 is also the most commonly found number of planets in a while, bringing the total number of planets found outside the Solar System to 3,200. Most of them were discovered by the Kepler telescope .

"This discovery gives us more hope to search outside the planet of Earth-like planets. We can even find an Earth," said Ellen Stofan, NASA's Science Director. .

Launched into space since March 2009, the Kepler space telescope has observed and explored about 150,000 stars to find signs of extraterrestrial life . Its working principle is based on observing the beam reflecting the planets emitted by the stars.

"Of the nearly 5,000 objects believed to be planets, there are more than 3,200 verified objects. 2,325 of them are discovered by the Kepler telescope," NASA said. In the 1,284 newly discovered planets, there are nearly 550 planets that may have the surface of hard rock similar to Earth.

In addition, 9 planets are defined to have orbits around its Sun at a sufficient distance. Thus, the surface temperature of these planets can cause water to exist in liquid form. Earlier, NASA found 12 planets with such orbits.

However, based on data from the Kepler spacecraft and telescopes, astronomers estimate that about 10 billion planets of the Milky Way are capable of survival , 500 million times more than the The planet is currently found (21).

The Kepler telescope is still working well and will stop after running out of fuel in the summer of 2018. NASA hopes to study the atmosphere soon on the planetary Kepler telescopes.

To replace Kepler, in 2018 NASA will launch the James Webb space telescope into orbit. This is one of the most advanced telescopes ever built by humans.
