British scientists have developed a tiny subcutaneous implant, which gives you a healthy tan skin without using the popular "sun bed" skin dyeing machine.
According to the Daily Mail , the new device is a tubular chip, no more than a grain of rice but implanted under the skin and stimulates the production of melanin .

Natural melanin in the body plays a role in controlling skin color and the amount of UV radiation absorbed. By releasing pigments, the skin becomes darker and can achieve a healthy tan color.
Although this implant-named implant was originally developed by the Clinical Company to alleviate skin disorders, experts believe it could be useful for the beauty industry.
Currently, it is estimated that about 3 million people use "sun bed" dyeing machines every year . Any product that can increase the tanness of the skin seems to be very popular, too, in which tanning sprays are becoming an indispensable item for millions of people.
Lesley Rhodes, a professor of experimental dermatology at the University of Manchester, said that the implant could become a new alternative method of skin dyeing."In terms of potential, it provides an alternative to commercial sunscreen. Many senior scientists have been convinced of its safety , " Rhodes said.

However, Professor Rhodes also stressed that more research is needed on the long-term side effects of using transplant equipment before the product is marketed.
Clinuvel, the manufacturer of Scenesse, further revealed that their product has now received approval from the UK Cancer Research Agency for its ability to prevent malignant skin cancer as well as reduce risks from using "sun bed" skin dyeing machine .
"Scenesse has a relatively short half-life (less than 50 minutes) and tests so far have not shown any serious safety concerns. Therefore, patients are well tolerated. This drug, " quoted the statement of Clinuvel company. If Scenesse is used in the beauty industry, it will follow Botox's steps - the original product is used as a muscle relaxant before being used to fight wrinkles on human skin.
