This technology allows users to interact touch with all screens from TV, smartphone to laptop for $ 129.

A group of former Samsung engineers is creating a device called Glamos . It uses LiDAR technology, which helps turn all screens into touch screens with full interaction.

Glamos works similarly to the touch screen but users may not need to touch the surface directly. Instead, Glamos detects hand motions and sends signals to control the device.

This allows users to control smart TVs, laptops, smartphones and tablets with hand gestures remotely. It effectively supports cases where users cannot touch the screen like during presentations or cooking.

For devices without touchscreens, it opens up a new, modern and interesting way of interacting. A normal TV can play interactive games like the Wii.

What makes Glamos special is its range of interactions. Within a radius of nearly 1 meter, it can recognize swipe and touch gestures of the user.

Glamos works thanks to the rotating mirror motion sensor. The device is compatible with all smart TVs , Android, iOS, Mac and Windows 7 and above. LiDAR technology is often found in self-driving cars and robot vacuums. Engineers also try to shrink the size of Glamos so that users can carry it.

The device is expected to go on sale in August. The price for the standard version is $ 129. With the wireless version via Bluetooth, users will have to spend 149 USD to own.

Still, this is a crowdfunding project. Therefore, the people who pre-ordered it is unlikely that the product will be canceled or delayed at any time.
