Richard Blain, CEO of Earth-i, said: "We can get up to 50 frames per second, quite a bit of detail. That allows us to stack individual images to increase resolution." .

This satellite is the prototype of Earth-i for the upcoming satellite program Vivid-i . The program will include a team of 15 satellites orbiting Earth at an altitude of about 500km. The satellites can take pictures at the same location many times a day. In theory, data can be downloaded only a few minutes after being taken.

Josef Aschbacher, director of the Earth Observation program at the European Space Agency (ESA), said: "Vivid-i will give us things that have never existed before such as recording color video and streaming high quality data from zero. space, help improve this planet and our own lives ".
