New types of satellites can give us full-color HD movies to Earth
Developed by British company Earth-i and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, CARBONITE-2 satellite weighs only 100 kilograms and is equipped with a UHD (Ultra High Definition) camera.
Recently, in a space program, India has put 31 satellites into low Earth orbit. In particular, one of the satellites can transmit high-resolution color videos (Full-Color HD).
Developed by British aerospace company Earth-i and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, CARBONITE-2 satellite weighs only 100 kilograms and is equipped with a UHD (Ultra High Definition) camera. The camera is able to capture high-resolution images and record videos in about 2 minutes about Earth-based objects such as cars and ships.

Richard Blain, CEO of Earth-i, said: "We can get up to 50 frames per second, quite a bit of detail. That allows us to stack individual images to increase resolution." .
This satellite is the prototype of Earth-i for the upcoming satellite program Vivid-i . The program will include a team of 15 satellites orbiting Earth at an altitude of about 500km. The satellites can take pictures at the same location many times a day. In theory, data can be downloaded only a few minutes after being taken.
Josef Aschbacher, director of the Earth Observation program at the European Space Agency (ESA), said: "Vivid-i will give us things that have never existed before such as recording color video and streaming high quality data from zero. space, help improve this planet and our own lives ".
Tweet of Indian Prime Minister congratulating the successful launch of the satellite.
Indian Space Research Organization is becoming a low-cost rocket launcher center. Last time was their 100th time. Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister, seems to be very proud of this milestone with the tweet: "Congratulations @isro and the scientists on the series of successful satellite launches. This success in the new year will bring benefit the nation's rapid progress in space technology for citizens in general as well as farmers and fishermen . ".
