However, there are also big and difficult challenges because enterprises and science-technology (KH-KT) have to compete with more international ones. Therefore, it is necessary to raise ourselves to the level of regional and international level.

Certainly Vietnam will join the World Trade Organization (WTO). Following economic, KH-KT must also have basic steps. The reason is that when joining WTO, want to survive and compete with foreign countries, Vietnamese enterprises are forced to apply more technology. Thus, businesses and scientists will have to shake hands to solve KH-KT problems, especially high technology, set by enterprises.

Currently, the scientific content of scientific projects has been applied in Vietnam is not high because production practices are not high. Investment for KH-KT of enterprises is not much. Integration will require closer integration between science and production.

Universities in Vietnam must move forward with research. If so, then become a strong university, really a university. Currently, universities in Vietnam have almost no research, so they are backward, contrary to the general trend of the world. In the world, most of the major research is conducted at universities. Hopefully, this situation will be overcome because Vietnam has a scheme to renovate university education.

In 2005, Vietnam experienced many challenges and difficulties. However, Vietnam has surpassed, completed its social, economic and 5-year targets, including contributions from Science and Technology.

Talent must first be an effort of individuals. Young people and young scientists need to have the ideals, the will to strive to develop their internal strength, to acquire the achievements of foreign countries but also to be quick to be creative, to have the unique of Vietnam.
