Three cows trapped on the small mound were rescued by the rescue team after undergoing horrifying moments in the earthquake yesterday, Guardian reported on November 15. They are given water and moved to a safe place.
The 7.8-magnitude earthquake on South Island, New Zealand caused land in a large area to collapse, forming a small island rising up into the wilderness, where cows were stuck.

The cow herd image is shared by Chris Brown, an Australian veterinarian on Facebook and quickly attracted public interest. Many people share photos on social networks and call for help to help emergency cows."We do not know the impact of earthquakes on the island population, but rescue groups have tried to save the three cows left behind on this tiny piece of land," Dr. Brown said.
The owners of the cows said they were among the 14 animals rescued from a serious landslide caused by earthquakes."We lost the cattle. The hillside dropped during the earthquake when many cattle were on it. We didn't know how much we had," the man said.
