The government of Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) said that on the morning of May 13, while the government and people of Quynh Long commune were conducting a foundation excavation to build a wall of a fish whale temple , it suddenly gave out. a huge whale skeleton appears.

Upon receiving the above information, Quynh Luu district's Office of Culture and Information went down to the scene, along with some experienced fishermen to excavate the tomb . When excavated, it was discovered that there were many fragments of the skull, many vertebrae in the tomb, and many bones were decomposed.

After completing the excavation process, the authorities initially concluded that this is an ancient whale skeleton buried by local fishermen hundreds of years ago. Also in the morning (May 13), the government and people of Quynh Long commune buried the whale's bones in accordance with local customs.

Earlier, on April 21, archaeologists also discovered three ancient Vietnamese skeletons in Ru Diep mountain, Thach Dai commune, Thach Ha district (Ha Tinh). 3 skeletons are adjacent to each other under sediment at a depth of 1.8m, in a 6 m2 wide plot of land, head towards the west. The skulls, teeth, ribs, hand bones, legs are still quite intact, Vietnamnet said.

Mr. Nguyen Tri Son, Director of Ha Tinh Museum said, ' The first step is to determine the age of these three skeletons of the Neolithic period, about 5,000 years ago.' In addition, the excavation of Ru Diep archaeological site was approved by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism from March 20 to May 20 with the help of domestic and foreign experts.
