In the morning of August 1, fishing vessel of Mr. Tran Xuan Thanh (Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu, Nghe An) visited Lach Quen fishing station with a giant Moon fish. The fish has a length of nearly 2m and the width of both envoys is 2.3m, weighing about 400kg.

Mr. Thanh said: 'My fishing vessel is practicing seine nets in the waters off the Gulf of Tonkin about 140 nautical miles off the coast. In the process of pulling the net, it was discovered that a very big fish died from a net, it was very hard for the new brothers to get on the ship. Knowing that it was a rare moon fish, it was carefully marinated and soon I sent the boat back to the shore. '

Immediately after landing, Mr. Thanh asked Mr. Bui Van Can to reside in Quynh Phuong, who once donated fish to the Vietnam Nature Museum to contact the Museum to donate precious fish to serve the research and display.

Receiving information, in the afternoon of August 1, Mr. Trinh Xuan Son - Deputy Director of the Museum was present to receive gifts from fishermen.
