They caught 3 orange fish, shaped like plates, each weighing from 55 to 80kg. In shape, this is a moon fish, a fish that rarely caught. They are not common in the Southern California Sea but often live in tropical or subtropical waters.
The photo that Mr. Snodgrass posted has attracted a lot of likes and shares.
Mr. Snodgrass said in joy: "This is a fish I have never caught in my whole life. Getting it is like winning a lottery."
Although people often have less fishing for the moon fish, the case of catching this rare species is increasing in recent years.
