Catch the giant fish in HCMC

In the morning of April 1, when the fishing fish at Little Caesar canal, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (in Binh Chanh hamlet, Binh Khanh ward, District 2) discovered a giant fish. Immediately, he tossed the net to catch.

However, if some more people join forces, Mr. Thanh can catch it. This fish is estimated to weigh nearly 100 kg and has a life span of 8-9 years.

According to Dang Ai Viet, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Aquatic Resources Protection, this is a rare species of ornamental fish, whose name is called the statue of the sea, originating from the Amazon River (South America). Currently, it has been included in the list of banned import by the Ministry of Fisheries due to unknown characteristics.

Particularly, the fish caught above did not understand why it was outside and lived in the Saigon River area for a long time.
