Not enough to produce the keyboard

Before the fact of 'chaos 12 warlords' of 40 Vietnamese codes and from the challenge of insiders to achieve a transition between the codes, 10 years ago, Dr. Pham Hong Quang, Software and Design Automation Company (Cadpro) built the VNIJ editor. Since then, he has been determined to pursue Vietnamese keyboard work.

From 1996 - 1997, we created the VNIJ percussion, then developed into the Cadpro Office product. In addition to the necessary general features, VNIJ overcome many disadvantages of other Vietnamese drafting systems, even making it possible to switch between sets of code on the Winword editor screen, Automatically switch Vietnamese - foreign keyboards by checking spelling when typing. We also have many researches on the production of Vietnamese keyboards through a series of projects: Vietnamese shorthand keyboard, Vietnote Cadpro handheld computer . Projects have achieved a series of results. software, technology design, hardware. However, the difficulty lies in the problem of plastic products. When ordering, hardware enterprises to make plastic box are not satisfactory. If ordering from foreign companies, the price is very high (about 15-20 USD / keyboard). We also tried to buy a keyboard from China and print Vietnamese but the price is still twice the market price.

Picture 1 of Not enough to produce the keyboard In my opinion, the appearance and circulation in the market of 'Vietnamese keyboard' is not difficult in terms of technology, the main issue is the need to orientate and support from the State - the largest customer in the country and only most in the world on this item.

Under weak industrial capacity conditions (mold design - plastic molding, plastic printing on the keyboard) and the domestic market for Vietnamese keyboards are small, the state should support research, production and output for the product. For example, to produce 10,000 keyboards, we have to spend billions of dong. Does any company dare to invest such a large amount of capital when there is no output? But if the state contracts to buy 50,000 pieces, I think that many Vietnamese enterprises do it right away. Countries like China and Russia have their own keyboards at very low prices. Thinking, the Ministry of Posts and Telematics should have the support: for example, supporting the price difference of small-volume production boxes, imported; recommending that local computers should use Vietnamese keyboard .

In addition, the State needs market orientation, such as preferential policies to buy Vietnamese keyboard for example. If I ask if I can ever do Vietnamese keyboard, I think we will never do it if the State does not care and there is no clear policy. Not only the last 10 years, but we still can't make the keyboard with Vietnamese characters for years to come.

In fact, during the past 10 years, we have continued to pursue Vietnamese keyboard jobs. However, I do not aim to produce the whole keyboard for computers, big keyboard with 101 characters and adding Vietnamese accents because Vietnam's industry is not enough to implement as mentioned above. We are thinking of another view of Vietnamese keyboard. It has only 16 keys, as compact as the palm of the hand and does not use a plastic case like a regular keyboard. We are currently producing and expected from 3-6 months will market a handheld computer with the above support for Vietnamese smart keyboard, featuring MP3 player, satellite navigation (GPS ) .
