October 1, Vietnam International Technology and Equipment Fair 2015 (Techmart) opened in Hanoi. The event takes place from October 1 to 4, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and Hanoi People's Committee, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam High Quality Business Association.

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Quan shared the information of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) announcing the evaluation of global innovation index of 141 countries. Vietnam ranked 52, 19 steps higher than the ranking in 2014. Among the 31 countries with low average economic development level (under $ 4,000 per person), Vietnam ranked 2nd, while GDP the lowest per capita. In ASEAN, for the first time, our country is ranked 3rd, after Singapore and Malaysia.
"This is good news. We express gratitude to people who do science and technology," the Minister said, emphasizing the participation of leading enterprises in Techmart 2015 that brought a new wind to science. . Present at the fair, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam cut the opening tape and toured the stalls. Criteria for selection of technology and equipment products introduced in Techmart 2015: products must be the research results of domestic and foreign scientific and technological organizations, enterprises, enterprises, and individuals. tested and successfully applied. Products have been completed, ready for transfer, quality assurance, cheaper than imported and registered for intellectual property protection.
