Operation of satellite launch in China flourished

A Chinese space expert said yesterday Beijing will launch 20 missiles and 25 artificial satellites into space this year.

'This year we plan to launch 20 missiles and 25 artificial satellites into space. That number will take China to second place, just behind Russia, in space exploration activities , " Xinhua quoted Yuan Jiajun, deputy general director of China Space and Technology Group.

Yuan did not specify how many satellites launched in the first 10 months of 2011. In 2010 China launched 15 missiles to bring 20 artificial satellites into space, equivalent to the number of US and Russian launches - the two countries launched the most missiles in the era of the universe.

The above figures show that China's space exploration activities began to turn into a climax.

The Shenzhou 8 spacecraft will be launched into orbit to connect with Thien Cung 1, the module launched from September. While the engineers carry out the final procedures for the Shenzhou 8 launch at the Center for Safeguards Jiuquan, the activity that prepares for the launch of another artificial satellite, also takes place at a launch pad 1.5 km away.

Cui Jijun, director of Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, said that people working at the center were used to the high intensity of labor because China's space exploration began to enter a climax.

To meet the increasing demand for satellite launches, the center has upgraded its system and increased the number of people in the workforce, Cui said. Even so, he acknowledges that China's space technology has not been able to catch up with some countries in the world.
